  1. Brett,
As you have lived since 1974 in Moresby, then you were born before Independence in September 1975. If you were born in TPNG before Independence then you would be an Australian citizen unless your parents made other arrangements or other rules apply to you. Extracts of birth certificates are usually all that are supplied now.
    Regards,
    Admin

  2. G’day. I lived at 51 Mendi Cresent from 1974 to 1978. My father was Ross ‘Tex’ Phillips. I was born in Moresby and have been trying to get my Birth Certificate for years, but all they ever send me is an ‘Extract’. Can’t come home with out my Birth Certificate. Can any one here help me out please. My contact number is: 0403328509. Here’s hoping. Brett

    • Brett.
Unfortunately we have no advisors or contacts in this area. If you are living in PNG, you could contact the Australian High Commission for help. If you are living in Australia, you could contact the PNG High Commission in Canberra.

    • Brett, did your father end up volunteering with the Coast Guard in Brisbane, as I new a Ross Philips ex military who did.
